| REASON FOR PICK: Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #65 Take Miami -3 ½ over Clemson (Saturday 12 pm ESPN 2) The U is coming off extended rest as they pounded Pittsburgh last Thursday and will enter this game in Death Valley full of confidence. Clemson is also coming off a bye after they suffered a devastating loss to Auburn on September 18th. The road team has been the play of late winning the last three match-ups between these two schools and I expect that to hold true once again. Miami lost to Clemson last season, 40-37 in overtime and you can bet they have not forgotten about that. The Tigers lost their best player off of last year’s squad in RB CJ Spiller, as he now is playing for the Buffalo Bills. The Hurricanes are really playing well at the moment especially on the defensive side of the football. I expect QB Jacory Harris to improve and get better as conference play progresses. He currently has six touchdowns and six interceptions on the season but he is too good of a player not to bust out soon. Clemson is 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. The U is 5-2 ATS in their last seven games in October. Miami moves atop the standings of the ACC and we collect along the way.
