Week 4 of the NFL season was a tough one for some of the league’s superstars. Here’s a quick run-down of who was banged up.
- Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Mike Vick left Sunday’s loss against the Washington Redskins with a chest injury. Initial speculation was that he may have broken a few ribs, but X-Rays came back negative. He’s scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday morning.
- Carolina Panthers Pro Bowl wide receiver Steve Smith suffered a high ankle sprain in the club’s 16-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Smith left the game at 3:24 of the third quarter as he made a catch and didn’t return.
- Oakland’s starting running back Darren McFadden left his club’s 31-24 win in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury.
- Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis appeared to suffer an ankle injury on a rush in the first play of the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles. There was no word on the severity of the injury after he left the 17-12 Washington victory.
- Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler left Sunday night’s game after taking nine sacks in the first half and suffering a concussion. He was ruled out for the rest of the game as backup Todd Collins took over.
